Soundsplash returns for 2021 with some major changes so check these main points before you dive in to the FAQs:

  • Soundsplash returns to Raglan, Wainui Reserve, over the weekend of January 22-24, 2021.
  • Onsite parking will be located next to the campgrounds. Due to some recent changes in our health and safety requirements, there will be no camp and park areas. Once your vehicle is parked at the venue, make sure you grab everything you need for your stay as you won’t be able to access your vehicle until Sunday – unless it’s an emergency. 
  • If you aren’t camping but need to park your car then grab a free Offsite Parking Pass when you purchase your other tickets. No parking pass = no parking.
  • Offsite parking for Soundsplash Raglan 2021 is at the Raglan Airfield.
  • If you’re camping at Soundsplash Raglan 2021, once you’re set up in your campground it’ll be a one way door if you choose to leave the venue. You will be able to access the beach as part of the Soundsplash site but no trips to town sorry. We’ll be bringing the town to Soundsplash in the form of our General Store so you won’t need to head anywhere.

GETTING THERE

Save on gas and reduce your carbon footprint by carpooling or catching the bus to Soundsplash.

Travel times from:

Auckland CBD: 2-2.5 hours
Hamilton CBD: 45 minutes

The Splash Bus departs from the Caro Street bus stop in Hamilton: 9am on Friday travelling direct to Soundsplash.

Departs Soundsplash: 4pm on Sunday.

Return tickets are $35 and can be purchased from Ticket Space when you buy your festival tickets and camping passes.

Catch the free park and ride shuttle departing from the Raglan Airfield.

The shuttle will be operating during these times:

Friday 8am – Saturday 2am
Saturday 9am – Sunday 2am
Sunday 9am – 4pm

Flash your wristband or pass to the driver and that’s your ticket to ride.

Camping Pass holders: Buy an on-site parking pass.

On-site parking is found right next to the camping grounds. 

If you aren’t camping at Soundsplash, grab a free offsite parking pass to securely park your vehicle at the Raglan Airfield and catch the free shuttle to the festival. Limited numbers!

The Raglan Airfield car park will be open during the following hours:

Friday 8am – 2am   Saturday 8am – 2am Sunday 8am – 4pm 

No parking pass = no parking.

Adult Festival Ticket 3 Day General Admission (R18) 

Adult Festival Ticket 3 Day General Admission (25+) 

    • These tickets are to be bought in conjunction with Child Festival Tickets.
    • Maximum of 2 x Child Festival Tickets, per 1x Adult Festival Ticket (25+).

Youth Festival Ticket 3 Day General Admission (16-17)

    • You do not require a guardian to enter the venue but you will need ID.

Grom Child Festival Ticket 3 Day General Admission (12-15)

    • You need to be accompanied by an adult 25+ to enter the venue and campgrounds.Maximum of 2 x Child Festival Tickets, per 1x Adult Festival Ticket (25+).

Child Festival Ticket 3 Day General Admission (Free Under 12)

    • You need to be accompanied by an adult 25+ to enter the venue and campgrounds.Maximum of 2 x Child Festival Tickets, per 1x Adult Festival Ticket (25+)

Once you have completed purchasing all of your tickets, you will receive an email confirming your ticket purchase. To minimise fraud for Soundsplash 2021 there will be a print delay on all tickets so you will not receive your actual tickets until December. 

The print delay on all tickets will be lifted at a later date. You will receive your tickets via the registered email after this date.

Yes your name has to match the ticket. If you want to sell your ticket you need to transfer the name on the ticket to the new ticket holder using the official transfer system.

Yes, you can change names on tickets. Any name change requests will be subject to an extra charge.

Please make sure that you have allowed enough time to process the ticket transfer prior to the event date.

You’re able to make name changes on your ticket by logging into your ticketspace My Ticket account:

  2. Input the email address you used to purchase tickets, and then enter your password.

If you have forgotten your password please use the “Forgot your password?” link underneath the Log In Button.

  1. Select the name you wish to make the change on.
  2. Follow the prompts..

*Please note that the ticket name needs to be changed and not the order name.

Complimentary tickets MUST NOT be sold on, and will be canceled if this is done. If someone tries to sell you a comp. ticket, please let us know.

Head to the official ticketspace resale platform – https://ticketspace.nz/resale/.

Fill in the required fields in the form and make sure you include the details for which specific tickets you would like to sell.

You are able to put in the specifics of what you wish to sell in the ‘add additional information’ box. There is a big box at the bottom of the resale form where you enter this information. 

You can then detail the ticket you wish to put up for resale (e.g. the name on the ticket, type of ticket etc). If you wish to keep your other tickets in your order that is completely fine, only the ticket you wish to sell will be sold on from on your order.

If you only want to sell select tickets, you can specify that through the resale process. Make sure you enter the details of the person you would like to sell the ticket to when you fill out the resale form.

You can then detail the ticket you wish to put up for resale (e.g. the name on the ticket, type of ticket, who you wish to sell the ticket to and their email, etc).

Gate sales won’t be available.

  1. When you get to Raglan, pick up your wristband from the ticket kiosk at the Raglan Airfield car park.
  2. Park your car at The Raglan Airfield off-site parking. Off-site parking has 24/7 security so rest assured your vehicle is safe.

  1. If you have an on-site parking pass, then proceed directly to the festival venue without checking in at the Raglan Airfield. Make sure you car pool with someone that has a parking pass to save gas and skip the shuttle queue!
  2. Please have your parking pass printed out and showing on the dashboard of your car as you enter the venue. Your car will be searched on entry.
  3. Park your car and get your wristband. Grab your wristband from the on-site ticket kiosk. Before you set up camp, make sure you grab everything you need from your vehicle before jumping in the search queue.

If you’re camping at Soundsplash Raglan 2021, once you’re set up in your campground it’ll be a one way door if you choose to leave the venue. You will be able to access the beach as part of the Soundsplash site but no trips to town sorry. We’ll be bringing the town to Soundsplash in the form of our General Store so you won’t need to head anywhere.

If you have purchased an R18, 25+ or Youth ticket you will also need to bring photo ID with you to verify your age.

  • Valid forms of tickets and passes:
    • Printed PDF of actual ticket, camping and parking passes – including receipt (use scrap paper to save on waste!)
    • Electronic PDF ticket – receipt attached
  • Valid form of photo ID
    • Passport
    • Drivers License
    • 18+ Card
    • Student ID (if under 18)

Our technology will allow for smartphone ticket scanning but data connection may be unreliable on-site.

If the ID is expired OR you are providing a photocopy of the above forms of ID, you will ALSO need to provide a second form of ID in one of the following forms, bearing the same name as photocopy:

    • Debit/credit card 
    • Birth certificate
    • Utility bill
    • Proof of address from your bank with your name and bank authorised stamp

SITE INFO

Toilets can be found throughout the venue and campgrounds. 

Onsite Showers are located at the edge of the campgrounds.You can find other public showers at the beach.

Please be mindful of wasting water and keeping the toilets and showers as clean as possible.

Water will be available at refilling stations throughout the site. Remember to keep hydrated in the heat and bring your reusable cup or bottle! If you don’t have one then grab one from the Soundsplash General Store.

Xtreme Zero Waste Stations will be throughout the venue and campgrounds. Our Zero Waste Team will be giving out biodegradable bags when you enter, please put all your food scraps and biodegradable packaging in this bag to be collected for composting.

Phone charging stations will be available at the Blue Zone.

First Aid services and emergency medics, Red Frogs, Deep Space and Consent Club will all be in the Wellbeing Space in the Blue Zone.

The Info Centre will be Soundsplash HQ for anything to do with lost property and children, security and general help and information.

The Soundsplash General Store will be your on-site camping and festival supply shop stocking toothbrushes, body care products, sunscreen, natural healing balm, organic sanitary products, snacks, mosquito balm and anything else you might need.

Surf Life Saving will be stationed at the beach during patrol hours.

Fields of Joy (5min walk from festival, sea views), Comfort Zone (5min walk from festival, hill views) and Neighbourhood (2min walk from festival, closest to venue) – camping pass for tents only campground.

The Ledge – camping pass for R18 campground with access to bar, on the opposite side to other camp grounds and within the festival venue.

Road Trippers camping pass for campervans, buses, sleeper vans, caravans or motorhomes (must have a Roadtrippers camping pass and a parking pass).

One Vibe camping pass for families staying at Soundsplash. This option includes a combination of Adult Passes (25+) + Child (0-15) passes.

All tent spaces are approximately 4m x 4m.

Yes but make sure you’ve got a Roadtrippers camping pass and parking pass.

We won’t have powered sites available and we kindly ask that no generators, fires, gas cooktops and bottles or portable barbeques are bought on to the site.

Drinking water is available at the entrance to the campgrounds and toilets will be close by too.

Campers can arrive between 8am and 8pm on Friday, January 22 or Saturday, January 23, 2020.

Youth Tickets

You have to be 16 years of age or older during January 22-24, 2021, to be able to enter the festival with this ticket. With a Youth Ticket, you will be able to camp and enter the venue without being accompanied by an adult. You will not be able to enter any R18 areas. Make sure you bring ID to show your age when you get to the venue.

 


 

Child Tickets

You have to be 15 years of age or younger during January 22-24, 2021, to be able to enter the festival with this ticket. With a Child Ticket, you will be able to camp and enter the venue so long as you are accompanied at all times by a paying adult that is 25 years of age or older. You will not be able to enter any R18 areas and there will be a limit of two children tickets per adult paying ticket (25+).

 


 

Free Child Tickets

You have to be 12 years of age or younger during January 22-24, 2021, to be able to enter the festival with this ticket. With a Free Child Ticket, you will be able to camp and enter the venue so long as you are accompanied by a paying adult that is 25 years of age or older. You will not be able to enter any R18 areas and there will be a limit of two children tickets per adult paying ticket (25+).

To keep kids safe, all children 15 years of age and younger will need to register with their adult paying chaperone (25+) when they enter the festival. Their wristband will contain the contact information of their adult chaperone if they get lost. 

Head to the Info Centre if you have found or lost a child. Please speak with your kids at the beginning of the festival to meet at Info Centre if you become separated.

Soundsplash uses a cashless system. You will be able to top up your festival wristband with funds using your eftpos, debit or credit card to make purchases on-site. There will be a one-off activation fee when you load funds on to your wristband for the first time.

HOW DOES IT WORK
1. Top your Token Card/ Wristband with cash or card
2. Pay for food, drink, and merch with your Wristband/Card
3. Claim a refund of the remaining balance back onsite or online! TOP UPS
There is a $5.00 NZD activation fee that will come of your first top up only.
3.0% fee applies on all credit card transactions for top ups.You also have the option to top up online and skip the queue onsite, simply:

  2. Claim your tickets by entering the barcode found in your e-ticket. Please note that if you are going camping, you need to link BOTH your festival ticket and camping pass.
  3. Select topup, amount then enter your credit card info and confirm!
REFUNDS
A refund fee of $2.50 NZD will apply for all refund claims
You must have a minimum of $5.00 NZD remaining on your  Wristband in order to claim a refund. Onsite refunds are not available.

IMPORTANT NOTES
Credit is not transferable between Card/ Wristbands
You will need the code on the back of your wristbands in order to get a refund!
Cash refunds onsite only
Once a wristband/ card has been refunded it can not be used again.
When topping up online, you need to link BOTH your festival ticket and camping pass.

Got the munchies? Head to the Kai Village, where you’ll find yummy food and non-alcoholic drink options from around the world.

Need a hat or band tee? The Blue Zone is where you’ll find merch and other cool things like temporary tattoos, flower crowns and unique handmade items.

Time to hit the bar? There are designated bar areas at the festival that are strictly R18.

Forgot something at home? We got you! Our Soundsplash General Store will be stocked with essential camping items as well as everything you need for a sweet festival experience.

WHAT TO BRING & LEAVE AT HOME

Your tickets and valid ID!

A good-quality, waterproof tent + comfortable bedding and sleeping gear

Warm clothes, some covered shoes, raincoat and gumboots ( if needed)

Sunnies, togs, towel, hat and sunblock

Hygiene items and medication 

Your reusable bags, cups, bottles, containers and cutlery

The most important thing is to keep an open heart and bring the good vibes!

No alcohol of any kind to be bought on site. Please leave at home

Illegal drugs or substances: Please don’t bring..

Gas bottles, cookers and barbecues: A fire ban is in place. No cooking or fires at Soundsplash please there’s plenty of yummy food available at the Kai Village

Glass: Very dangerous at Soundsplash so please leave at home. That means mirrors too guys and gals.

Objects that could harm others: Nothing that can cut, hit or generally be used to harm anybody please. This includes fireworks. Safety first.
Filled bottles: plastic, glass or reusable. All filled bottles will be emptied. 

No fireworks. No fires. No generators. No glass.

Searches will be carried out at both festival and campground entry points, and items will be confiscated and not returned. To avoid unnecessary delays at the entrance please see our festival terms and conditions for the full conditions of entry.
