Getting to Soundsplash

Soundsplash Festival is held at Wainui Reserve in Raglan with access via Ngarunui Beach Rd. It is very important to keep the main road up to the festival clear of congestion for emergency services. Please respect the directions given below to ensure the smoothest possible entry into Soundsplash.

Expect traffic delays, potentially lasting an hour or more, when entering through the gates. We appreciate your patience as we strive to expedite the process and get everyone inside as quickly as possible.

Important note: It is crucial that all drop-offs and pickups occur at the Raglan Airfield to prevent traffic congestion and reduce long wait times.

Travel times from:

Auckland CBD: 2-2.5 hours
Hamilton CBD: 45 minutes

Please do not use a GPS system to get to the festival as there are different instructions into the site depending on your ticket (and whether you are being dropped off, parking onsite, or parking off site.) Instead, please refer to the temporary festival road signage on your way to the festival site and follow any instructions from our festival communications team.

On site parking is limited and only available to on site camping pass holders that have also purchased parking passes. Don’t forget to add parking tickets to your purchase when you complete your order.

Off site parking is located at the Raglan Airfield and is available for weekend parking for everyone that missed out on an on site parking ticket, day parking for those staying off site or if you’re getting dropped off in Raglan. This year we are introducing booked arrival times for the off site parking shuttle.

Car sharing is a fun, easy, cheap and sustainable way to travel! If you’re travelling to the festival by car, check with your friends or other festival goers to see if you can share a ride.

On site parking is limited and, once sold out, all campers will need to park at the off site park and catch the Raglan Airfield Bus to the festival.

This year we have staggered time slots available for the off site parking Raglan Airfield Bus so you can book your arrival time.

By booking your arrival time, you’ll be ensuring a smoother entry process for everyone which means more time to enjoy the festival.

You’ll only be able to check in to the festival once your designated time slot opens up. Make sure you know what time you’ll be arriving at the festival ahead of buying your ticket for a smooth ticket purchasing experience.

All Drop Offs and Pick Ups in Raglan will be at the off site parking site. Please make sure you have booked a Raglan Airfield Bus to the festival site.

Auckland Road to Raglan Bus Drop Off and Pick up will be at Trusts Arena, Henderson, Auckland.

NO DROP OFFS AT FESTIVAL SITE PLEASE – WE NEED TO KEEP THE ROAD CLEAR FOR EMERGENCY SERVICES.

Book your arrival time for Soundsplash!

If you are catching a bus or parking offsite (and camping), you will need to select your arrival and departure times when you order your festival and camping tickets.

Entry will be staggered, and you’ll only be able to enter once your designated time slot opens up.

Prior to your bus departure time, you can check in one hour in advance. For instance, if your bus is scheduled to depart at 7:00 am, you may check in anytime between 6:00 am and 7:00 am. In Auckland, the check-in process involves collecting your wristband and undergoing a bag search. In Raglan, it entails joining the queue to ensure timely boarding and departure.

Please note that if you fail to check in during your designated check-in time, the Soundsplash team will assist you in boarding the next available bus. However, we cannot guarantee that you will be allocated the subsequent bus slots.

Make sure you know what time you’ll be arriving at the festival ahead of buying your ticket for a smooth ticket purchasing experience.

All Pick ups must be made at the Raglan Airfield Offsite Park.

We must keep the main road clear for emergency services so please do not drive to site for pick ups.

Sunday at the festival is designated as a packdown day, and as such, no musical performances are scheduled. Please note that the gates will close to all attendees at 3pm on Sunday. The final Raglan Airfield Bus service returning from the festival to the offsite park is scheduled for 2pm.

Please make sure to leave the site with all your belongings by the designated time.

Remember, ensuring a safe journey home is an integral part of your Soundsplash experience. Planning your safe return journey well in advance is essential, and it’s never too early to start making these arrangements.
