SOUNDSPLASH FESTIVAL 2026 TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Agreement to Terms

1.1 These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all persons who purchase a ticket to, enter, or participate in Soundsplash Festival 2026 (“Event”).
1.2 By purchasing or accepting a ticket, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Terms and any additional rules or instructions issued by the Organiser or authorised Event personnel.
1.3 These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand and are subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

2. Conditions of Entry

2.1 You must comply with all applicable laws and all reasonable directions from Event staff.
2.2 Valid photo identification (New Zealand driver licence, passport, or Kiwi Access/18+ card) is required.
2.3 An official Event wristband must be worn at all times. Wristbands that are lost, removed, damaged, or tampered with are invalid. Replacement wristbands may be issued at the Organiser’s discretion and may incur a fee.
2.4 The Organiser may refuse entry or remove any person without refund if they breach these Terms or create a safety or security risk.

3. Age Requirements

3.1 The Event is all-ages.
3.2 Persons aged 15 years and under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian aged 25 years or older. A maximum of one guardian may accompany up to four minors.
3.3 Licensed 18+ areas require valid proof of age identification. Persons under 18 are prohibited from entering licensed zones and may be removed without refund if found in these areas.
3.4 Supplying or attempting to supply alcohol to a minor is an offence and may result in removal and referral to Police.

4. Tickets and Wristbands

4.1 Entry is only permitted with a valid barcoded ticket purchased through an authorised ticketing agent approved by the Organiser.
4.2 Tickets must not be resold, offered for resale, or used for promotion or advertising without the Organiser’s written consent.
4.3 Tickets obtained or resold in breach of these Terms may be cancelled without refund.
4.4 Name changes and ticket transfers may only be completed through the official ticketing system and may incur a fee.

5. Search and Security

5.1 Entry is conditional on consent to personal and bag searches.
5.2 Prohibited or unauthorised items may be confiscated and may not be returned.
5.3 The Organiser may refuse entry or remove any person at its discretion.

6. Prohibited Items

The following items are not permitted:
• Alcohol or glass
• Illegal substances, including nitrous oxide
• Weapons, fireworks, explosives, or flammable materials
• Drones, laser pointers, unauthorised sound systems
• Professional filming or photography equipment without written approval
• Skateboards, scooters, or items deemed unsafe
• Unauthorised promotional materials
Service animals are permitted. All other animals are prohibited.

7. Behaviour and Safety

7.1 Attendees must behave respectfully and safely at all times.
7.2 Harassment, discrimination, violence, verbal abuse, or threatening behaviour will not be tolerated.
7.3 Dangerous crowd behaviour (including moshing, stage-diving, or crowd-surfing) may result in removal without refund.
7.4 Attendees must not damage property, remove vegetation, or enter restricted areas.

8. Alcohol, Food and Drugs

8.1 The Event is fully licensed. Only alcohol purchased on-site may be consumed.
8.2 Bringing alcohol or glass into the Event is strictly prohibited.
8.3 Possession or use of illegal drugs will result in removal and may be referred to Police.
8.4 Sealed food may be brought into the Event. Refillable water bottles are permitted at designated water stations.

9. Event Management

9.1 The Organiser may amend the Event programme, line-up, schedule, layout, or capacity without notice.
9.2 The Event will proceed in most weather conditions unless safety risks require suspension or cancellation.
9.3 If the Event is cancelled, postponed, or significantly restricted due to circumstances beyond the Organiser’s reasonable control, refunds will be provided in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. Lawful ticketing fees may be deducted where applicable.

10. Refunds and Cancellations

10.1 Tickets are non-refundable.
10.2 No refunds will be issued for changes to the programme or line-up.
10.3 No refunds will be provided to persons refused entry or removed for breaching these Terms.

11. Recording and Photography

11.1 Professional filming, recording, or photography equipment is not permitted without written approval.
11.2 By attending the Event, you consent to being filmed or photographed for promotional and archival purposes.
11.3 CCTV may be used for safety, monitoring, and operational management.

12. Privacy

12.1 Personal information is collected in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.
12.2 Personal information is used for ticketing, operational, and safety purposes only and will not be shared except where required by law.
12.3 You may request access to or correction of your personal information by contacting info@soundsplash.co.nz.

13. Facial Recognition and Biometric Data

13.1 Facial recognition technology may be used at entry points to verify identity and support safety and security.
13.2 Participation is voluntary. Manual ID verification is available upon request.
13.3 Any biometric data collected will be securely encrypted, accessed only by authorised personnel, and deleted within 30 days unless required for lawful investigation.
13.4 Biometric information will not be used for marketing, profiling, tracking, or commercial purposes.

14. Liability and Risk

14.1 Attendance is at your own risk. Appropriate footwear and care should be taken at all times.
14.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organiser will not be liable for injury, loss, or damage except where caused by our negligence or breach of legal duty.
14.3 Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or our obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.

15. Environment and Community

15.1 Please dispose of waste responsibly and use recycling stations.
15.2 Respect the environment, the whenua, local residents, and the Raglan community.
