Soundsplash Festival is open to all ages. It is a rain or shine event.

Tickets

Where can I buy my tickets?

Tickets can be purchased from The Ticket Fairy: www.theticketfairy.com

What types of Festival Tickets do you have?

R18 – aged 18 years and over.

Youth – aged 16 – 17 years.

Child – aged 12 – 15 years (please see more details on children at the festival below)

Family Pass – 2 x R18  plus any combination of up to 4 children or 2 youth.

Where is my ticket?

Upon purchase, The Ticket Fairy will email you a PDF ticket. If you don’t receive this straight away, please check your junk mail folder.

If you still cannot locate your ticket, log back into the Ticket Fairy account you purchased it with, and you will be able to find it under the My Tickets section. Each PDF can be scanned one time only. The name printed on the ticket does not have to match that of the person using it. If you print out your tickets be sure to keep them safe.

Do I need to print my ticket or can I show it on my phone?

Please have your ticket printed and ready when you arrive at Soundsplash. Our technology will allow for smartphone ticket scanning, but data connection may be unreliable on site.

To save paper, feel free to print your ticket on the back of an old document.

The following forms of ticket will be acceptable on event day:

– Printed PDF of actual ticket – including receipt

– Electronic PDF ticket – receipt attached

If you choose to turn up with one of the below, you will be asked to provide proof that the ticket you are holding is yours, via proof of email. If you are unable to do so then you may be denied entry into the festival.

– Photocopies of tickets

– Photos of tickets

– Screenshots of tickets

On arrival at the festival, your ticket will be exchanged for an appropriate wristband. Once you have your wristband you are free to come and go from the festival. If you have purchased an R18 ticket you will also need to bring photo ID with you to verify your age.

Are tickets transferable?

Yes, purchased tickets are transferable, but we don’t recommend you buy tickets from someone you don’t know.

Complimentary tickets must not to be sold on, and will be canceled if this is done. If someone tries to sell you a comp. ticket, please let us know.

What is an acceptable form of ID?

Everyone entering Soundsplash with an adult ticket (including day passes) will be required to provide a physical form of photo ID.

The following forms of identification will be accepted:

– 18+ card

– Student ID

– Drivers License

– Passport

If the ID is expired OR you are providing a photocopy of the above forms of ID, you will ALSO need to provide a second form of ID in one of the following forms, bearing the same name as photocopy:

– Debit/credit card

– Birth certificate

– Utility bill

– Proof of address from your bank with your name and bank authorised stamp

Can I add extras to my festival tickets?

If you have already purchased your festival ticket, and would like to add on a camping, bus, parking pass, or even an additional child ticket no sweat. To do so, please log into your The Ticket Fairy account and select “Add an add-on” and select the pass you require.

Can i buy a day pass?

Sorry, not at this time. Depending on ticket sales, we may release a handful of day passes at a later date.

Who do I contact if I have a problem with my ticket?

Will there be gate sales?

Gate sales will not be available on site,

Car Parking

Is there extra cost for Parking?

All those who are camping at Soundsplash and wish to park onsite at the festival must purchase a vehicle pass (one per vehicle). Vehicle passes are limited and are only available for campers. There is no General onsite parking available.

There are two types of vehicle pass, depending on what you are rolling in. The Standard Vehicle Pass ($50) covers a regular passenger vehicle, while the Camper Vehicle Pass ($100) is for campervans, buses, sleeper vans, caravans towed by a car or motorhomes and ($25) covers Raglan Airstrip offsite Parking.

Vehicle pass holders must arrive at Soundsplash between 8am and 8pm on Friday January 18th or Saturday January 19th to gain access to the festival site and campgrounds.

On arrival at the festival, if you have a car pass all those camping in Comfort Zone and Neighbourhood will be able to drop off gear at their campsite before being directed to the campers parking area. Fields of Joy, One Vibe Family Camping and Road Trippers camping areas include options for campsite parking. Road Trippers parking is only available for campervans, buses, sleeper vans, caravans or motorhomes.

Pass-outs are not available for onsite vehicle pass holders (unless it’s an emergency). Once you are parked, your vehicle will not be able to leave until Sunday. If you decide to leave the festival site before Sunday, your vehicle pass will be removed, and your vehicle will not be able to return.

No general parking is available on Wainui Reserve. If you park on roads or in cordoned off areas, your car will be immediately removed.

During the festival, an offsite parking area ($25) will also be available for Soundsplash ticket holders at Raglan Airfield. Please note that parking spaces at the airfield are unable to be reserved, and capacity will be limited. Regular free shuttles will run between the airfield and festival site. You must show your Soundsplash ticket or festival wristband to gain entry to the airfield car park, and to board the shuttle. Sleeping in general car parks in prohibited.

To minimise the impact on our beautiful site, and to help reduce traffic congestion, we encourage carpooling, using buses or ride sharing wherever possible.

What if I don’t pre-purchase a Parking Pass?

Your vehicle will not be allowed to park at the festival without one.  

Camping

Is there a cost for camping?

Yes, the cost of a camping pass for an adult (18 years of age and over) or Youth (Aged 16 -17) is $80 for the Comfort Zone, Fields of Joy, Neighbourhood, Road Trippers is ($100) and One Vibe camping area ($250) includes 6 camping passes (2 adults PLUS any combination of up to 4 children or 2 youth).

Camping passes for The Ledge Premium Camping area are $80 (18 years and over only – no children).

Children (Aged 12 years and under) may camp for free when accompanied by an adult guardian 25+ with a camping pass in The Comfort Zone, Road Trippers, Fields of Joy, Neighbourhood and One Vibe areas. Each individual person who is camping needs to have a camping pass.

What are the different camping areas at Soundsplash?

The Ledge Premium Camping – Exclusively for those aged 18 years or over, for 2-person tents only.

One Vibe Family – Tents/car parking & camper vehicles for families. 2 minute walk to venue.

Road Trippers – Self-contained camper vehicles only. No sleeping in cars. No tents. 4 minute walk to venue.

The Neighbourhood – SOLD OUT – Tents Only. 2 minute walk to venue.
The Comfort Zone – SOLD OUT – Tents Only. 5 minute walk to venue.
The Fields of Joy – SOLD OUT – Tents/car parking with the epic views. 6-10 minute walk to venue.

Can I swap camp zones?

No. Each campground has a specific number of people it can fit and swapping campgrounds messes with those calculations. So, it’s important to choose your campground carefully when purchasing your camping pass.

How much room will I have for my tent?

The Neighbourhood, Comfort Zone and The Ledge will be approximately 4m x 4m.

Fields of Joy and One Vibe will be approximately 6m x 4m.

Can I bring my campervan/caravan?

Yes, but you must have purchased a Camping Pass and Camper Vehicle Pass in either the Road Trippers Vehicle site or One Vibe family camping.

Camper Vehicle Pass holders must arrive at Soundsplash between 8am and 8pm on Friday January 19th or Saturday January 21st to gain access to the festival site. No pass-outs are available for vehicles (unless it is an emergency).

Once you are parked, your vehicle will not be able to leave until Sunday. If you decide to leave the festival site before Sunday, your vehicle pass will be removed and your vehicle will not be able to return.

Can I bring a generator?

No generators are to be brought on site, out of respect for your neighbours and your ecological footprint.

What time can I arrive at my campsite?

Need more information on our campgrounds?

Fields of Joy – includes space for your tent and your ride (with the purchase of a vehicle pass).

Comfort Zone – tents only campground.

Neighbourhood – tents only campground.

The Ledge – R18 2 person tents only campground.

Road Trippers – a vehicle site is strictly limited to campervans, buses, sleeper vans, caravans or motorhomes.

One Vibe Family – allows for a tent with a maximum of 6 people and a standard vehicle or a camper site, you MUST have also purchased the appropriate One Vibe Parking pass.

Every person who wishes to camp on-site at Soundsplash needs to purchase a camping pass in addition to their festival ticket. There are no tent share options available.

Are there any sites with water and power hook ups?

Powered sites are not available at Soundsplash. No generators, fires, or portable barbecues with 9kg bottles or more are allowed in the camping areas. There will be barbecues available in a communal area for cooking. Toilets and running water will be situated near the entrance to all the campgrounds.

What time can I arrive at my campsite?

Vehicle pass holders must arrive at Soundsplash between 8am and 8pm on Friday January 18th or Saturday January 19th to gain access to the festival site and campgrounds.

Transport

How do I get to Soundsplash?

From Auckland, the driving time to Raglan is approximately 2 hours via State Highway 1, or approximately 2 hours 30 minutes via State Highway 1 and State Highway 23.

From Hamilton, the driving time to Raglan is approximately 45 minutes via State Highway 23, or 1 hour from Hamilton Airport.

Are there buses available?

Yes, free shuttle buses will run continuously between the Raglan i-SITE Visitor Information Centre, Raglan Airfield car park, and the Soundsplash site, operating between the following times:

Friday 10am – Saturday 2am

Saturday 9am – Sunday 2am

Sunday 9am – 4pm

You must either have a festival ticket or festival wristband to board the bus.

The Splash Bus departs from the Caro Street bus stop in Hamilton at 9am and 11am on Friday Jan 18th travelling direct to Soundsplash and departs the festival at 4pm on Sunday 20th.

Return tickets are only $30 and can be purchased from The Ticket Fairy when you buy your festival tickets and camping passes.

Will there be an area for pickups and dropoffs onsite?

No, to ease traffic congestion around the Soundsplash site, we ask that all those who are being dropped off at the festival free shuttle bus that  will be running continuously between the Raglan i-SITE Visitor Information Centre, Raglan Airfield car park, and the Soundsplash site, operating between the following times:

Friday 10am – Saturday 2am

Saturday 9am – Sunday 2am

Sunday 9am – 4pm

You must either have a festival ticket or festival wristband to board the bus.

Can I park my car off site?

Yes, during the festival, an off site parking area ($25) will also be available for Soundsplash ticket holders at Raglan Airfield. Please note that parking spaces at the airfield are unable to be reserved, and capacity will be limited. You must show your Soundsplash ticket or festival wristband with an Airstrip car pass to gain entry.

The Airfield car park will be open during the following hours:

Friday 8am – 2am

Saturday 8am – 2am

Sunday 8am – 4pm

Please park smart – lock your vehicle and do not leave valuables in it.

Festival Hours

What time will the festival open and close?

Soundsplash 2019 runs Friday January 18th to Sunday January 20th.

Festival gates will be open:

8am – 1am Friday/Saturday

8am – 6pm Sunday

Campers must arrive at Soundsplash between 8am and 8pm on Friday January 18th or Saturday January 19th to gain access to campgrounds.

Festival Currency | Food & Drink

How can I buy food and drinks?

There will be 3 currencies at Soundsplash – cash, eftpos and a cashless system. For those wishing to use cash. Please ensure that you have this with you when you arrive as there are no onsite ATM or cash out facilities.

All bar areas will be using Cashless credits only and will not be accepting cash or eftpos.

Once you have arrived at Soundsplash you will be able to top up your credits throughout the festival. A cashless top up will be situated beside the R18 ID check near ticketing as you enter festival. There will be a one-off activation fee.

Facilities

Will there be a lost property area on site?

Yes. Lost items can be returned or retrieved from the festival information site next to the merchandise tent. Items not collected by 5pm Sunday 20 January will be transferred to the Raglan Police Station.

Will there be showers?

There will be showers on site at Soundsplash, public showers are available at the beach. Raglan i-SITE also have details on other shower facilities available in Raglan.

Entertainment | Kids

Child Safety?

We care about child safety at Soundsplash, and want to ensure you will have a great time with your family at the festival.

All children entering the festival must be registered with a parent or guardian aged 25 years or older (photo ID will be required).

Will there be a children's area?

Yes, the Little Splash Zone will be open from 10am – 5pm on Friday 18th & Saturday 19th, and from 10am – 2pm on Sunday 20st.

Lost and Found children -

Soundsplash HQ is the place to look. Located at the festival entrance. All children will be will be issued with a wristband that will have their guardians name/number on it. Please speak with your children at the beginning of the festival to meet at Soundsplash HQ if you become separated.

What To Bring | What Not To Bring

What should I bring?

To make the most out of your Soundsplash experience be sure to bring your ticket, photo ID, sunblock, sunglasses, warm clothing, a torch, a raincoat and gummies if needed, a surfboard and swimwear.

As Soundsplash is held on a farm site, we also recommend sturdy footwear and, for those who are camping, comfortable bedding.

Most importantly, please bring an open heart and positive mind.

What shouldn't I bring?

No alcohol, glass, filled bottles, plastic bags, animals, fires, generators, weapons of any sort, illegal drugs, fireworks, or gang insignia to be brought on to the festival site. Searches will be carried out at both festival and campground entry points, and items will be confiscated and not returned.

Recycling

How do Soundsplash feel about recycling?

Soundsplash is proud to be a zero-waste festival. Please bring packaging that is recyclable, biodegradable, reusable or compostable. No glass or plastic bags on site please.

Our Zero Waste Team will be giving out biodegradable bags when you enter, please put all your food scraps and biodegradable packaging in this bag to be collected for composting.

Soundsplash Festival - Event Terms and Conditions

What are these and how will they effect me?

The following Event Terms and Conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) apply to entry to all activities as part of the Soundsplash Festival 2019 (the “Event”) being undertaken by Soundsplash Ltd (the “Organiser”). It is acknowledged and agreed that the Event is a ticketed event and the Terms and Conditions include the Ticket Purchase Terms and Conditions set out at the Organiser’s agents, The Ticket Fairy, website at https://www.theticketfairy.com/about/. By purchasing a ticket to the Event and attending the Event, you warrant and represent that you assent with these Terms and Conditions. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. Violation of these conditions of entry may result in denial of entry to or immediate ejection from the Event and may additionally result in your conduct being referred to the New Zealand police if deemed appropriate. If you are denied entry to or are ejected from the Event by violating these Terms and Conditions, no refund of the ticket price or any other charges paid for the Event will be provided.

1. Conditions of Entry

1.1. Patrons must provide valid photo ID to enter the Event. Accepted forms of ID include Passport, New Zealand Driver’s Licence, 18+ Card. All ID must be valid and include a photograph. Photocopies or expired forms of ID will not be accepted.

1.2. Patrons must have an individual valid Event wristband or other authorisation or accreditation to enter the Event. Any patron found not to be wearing an official Event wristband will be ejected from the Event. Any person gaining unauthorised access to the Event may be liable to prosecution by the Organiser. Patrons are not permitted to wear gang colours, patches or insignias. Any patron wearing gang colours, patches or insignias will be refused entry to the Event and in such case, no refund of the ticket price or any other charges paid for the Event will be provided.

1.3. All child patrons, being those patrons fifteen years and under must be accompanied by a parent, or a guardian over the age of twenty five years and such parent or guardian must have a valid ticket to the Event. Any patrons 15 years and under not accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of twenty five years will be refused entry to the Event. Any guardian that is not over the age of twenty five years who does not enter the Event due to the accompaniment of a child patron under the age of fifteen years, will not be entitled to any refund of the ticket price or any other charges paid for the Event. Guardians must remain onsite for the duration of the festival.

1.4. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to any person for whatever lawful reason in the Organiser’s sole discretion.

1.5. The Event is conducted on a reserve with a natural amphitheatre and is challenging for wheelchairs. The Organiser will provide reasonable assistance to patrons in wheelchairs but it is the patrons’ responsibility to ensure that they can attend and move freely around the Event sites.

1.6. The Event utilises strobe and flashing lighting. If you think this will cause issues for you and your enjoyment of the Event, the Organiser would advise against you attending the Event. The Organiser will not provide any refund of the ticket price or any other charges paid for the Event in the event that any patron’s enjoyment of the Event is disrupted by the lighting used or in the event that any patron suffers a reaction to the lighting used.

1.7. You may not bring alcohol, glass bottles, illegal drugs, or any other dangerous items into the Event including onto the Wainui Reserve and camping areas. Event patrons, their vehicles and belongings will be searched upon entry to the Event, and any alcohol or banned items found will be confiscated and not returned without compensation to the patron.

1.8. The Event is fully licensed to permitted patrons. Alcohol sales are subject to Responsible Service of Alcohol and Harm Minimisation Practices. Organiser is prohibited by law from serving liquor to intoxicated persons or to anyone under the age of eighteen. Anyone who is deemed in Organiser’s sole discretion to be intoxicated will be refused entry to or may be ejected from the Event and in such case, no refund of the ticket price or any other charges paid for the Event will be provided.

1.9. No audio or video recording of any performances or screening as part of the Event is permitted without written consent of the Organiser. Strictly no aerial drones are allowed at the Event and any such use shall be against council regulations and any patron caught with a drone will have the drone confiscated and additionally may be subject to fine by the local council authorities. Amateur still photography is permitted. Photos of artists and/or the Event are permitted only on the basis that:

– images are only used for private and personal use; and

– images cannot be made available for sale and/or public display. Recording or filming the Event is strictly prohibited

– the Organiser reserves the right to confiscate and/or delete any footage, recordings and/or photos created by unauthorised or prohibited recording, filming or photography.

1.10. The Organiser has all rights to film, photo and video production of the Event and patrons may be filmed incidentally during the Event. You consent to be included in film and sound recordings of the Event and for these recordings to be used by Organiser in any medium or context, including but not limited to any marketing and promotion of the Event or future incarnations of the Event, without further authorisation by or compensation to you.

1.11. Entry to the Event is at your own risk. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, appropriate footwear and clothing must be worn at all times at the Event. To the extent permitted by law, the Organiser takes no responsibility for any hearing damage or loss caused by excessive noise at the Event.

1.12. To the full extent permitted by law, you hereby waive all legal rights of action against and fully release the Organiser, its agents, employees and volunteers for all claims for compensation or loss, damage, injury or death howsoever arising in relation to your attendance at the Event including without limitation, liability for any negligent or tortious act or omission on the part of the Organiser, its agents, employees and volunteers.

1.13. In the case of any emergency at the Event, you must follow all directives of the Organiser or other authorised personnel.

1.14. Where entry is denied to a person for any reason including but not limited to failure to comply with the above Conditions of Entry, that person will not be entitled to any refund, ticket exchange, or compensation of any kind, as the case may be.

1.15. This Agreement is governed by the laws of New Zealand and each party submits to the jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.

2. Prohibited Behaviour

2.1. For the safety of patrons, staff, artists, and the Event venue, any dangerous, unruly, offensive, disturbing or inebriated behaviour is strictly prohibited.

2.2. Consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited outside of the licenced areas of the Event.

2.3. Alcohol may not be consumed in the public areas in the vicinity of the Event and fines may apply.

2.4. Patrons must not damage or remove any vegetation or property surrounding the Event venue or sites.

2.5. Patrons must not enter any Event areas designated as private and any patron who does so will be trespassing and may be subject to prosecution.

2.6. Smoking anywhere at the Event is strictly prohibited.

2.7. Activities such as “stage diving”, “moshing”, “climbing” and “crowd surfing” are strictly prohibited and will be enforced by security. Any patrons damaging other patrons’ property or property of the Organiser or related to the Event will be ejected from the Event and will not be entitled to any refund, or compensation of any kind.

2.8. Patrons causing a disturbance or refusing to comply with requests from Event security or staff will be ejected from the Event and in such case, no refund of the ticket price or any other charges paid for the Event will be provided.

2.9. Patrons must keep noise to a minimum and be respectful to the Event site neighbours and surrounds. Patrons shall not be entitled to hold any parties or loud gatherings on the Event site and the use of sound systems is prohibited after 1am each night. In the event that any patron is found to be in breach of these restrictions may be ejected from the Event and in such case, no refund of the ticket price or any other charges paid for the Event will be provided.

2.10. Any patron found to be misrepresenting themselves as a member of Event staff or security, or other personnel including the use of high-visibility clothing or making statements inferring the same will be ejected from the Event and will not be entitled to any refund, or compensation of any kind.

2.11. Any person found engaging in any of the above prohibited behaviour will be ejected from the Event and that person will not be entitled to any refund, ticket exchange, or compensation of any kind, as the case may be.

3. Event Management

3.1. The Event line up, playing days and set times are subject to change by the Organiser without notice.

3.2. The Organiser reserves the right to vary advertised programs, workshops and to add, withdraw or substitute artists where necessary in Organiser’s sole discretion.

3.3. The Organiser reserves the right to alter the entry times into the Event site and camping grounds without notice.

3.4. The Organiser shall not be held liable for any costs incurred by any patron relating to change of travel dates or times due to any changes in the Event programme or early closing of the Event for any reason.

3.5. Parts of the Event will take place outdoors and as such may from time to time be subject to adverse weather. Patrons are advised to bring suitable clothing and equipment to protect from weather conditions including but not limited to: rain; hail; wind; sunshine.

3.6. Events which are scheduled to take place outdoors will only be cancelled in the event that the weather is such that it poses a safety threat to patrons and staff. The decision to cancel the Event or any part thereof is made in the Organiser’s sole discretion and may be made at any time up to the Event or during the Event.
